Analytics Technical Internship

Outstanding opportunity for a technically savvy new or near graduate to join our team in the rapidly growing area of web analytics. You will need to have skills in JavaScript, Cookies, HTML and PHP, and an aptitude for linking them with web user behaviour.

We are a Google Analytics Authorized Consultant, Urchin Software Authorized Consultant and Australia's first Google Website Optimizer Authorized Consultant. We work closely with Google in Australia and the US.

Joining our team will give you the inside track and training you need to become a web analytics expert. You will learn how to capture and apply website visitor data to dramatically improve the performance of websites and online marketing results.

As our Analytics Technical Intern you will work with our Analytics Director to provide our clients with advice and technical assistance for Google Analytics and Urchin software including application configurations, detailed analysis of website visitor traffic, and troubleshooting.

Hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm 2 - 3 days per week, internship is for 12 months including initial 3 months trial.

Salary will be paid according to ability and reviewed regularly against performance.

What You Need

Degree or advanced level of studies in IT, mathematics or commerce.
Hands on experience with JavaScript and Cookies.
Hands on experience with HTML and PHP.
Understanding of log files and web servers.
Ability to touch type 50+ wpm.

Good spoken and written English language skills
Understanding of business and customers/clients

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Accuracy of technical configurations and value of analysis
Researching, reviewing and troubleshooting application configurations
Support custom scripting, report templating, log file configurations, and architecture integration
Detailed client website analysis and performance reports including recommendations including Return On Investment (ROI), marketing data, visitor traffic and navigation
Apply analytics data to optimize client website content and navigation
Understand analytics implementation process
Help clients understand analytics data and reports
Support analytics seminars and events
Coordinate with Google support engineers to solve software or service issues
Document all processes, support issues and solutions to a shared knowledge base
Stay up to date on analytics developments and trends
